Summer Beauty Favorites

I wanted to share these two little miracle bottles that are getting me through the sweaty season.

This stuff, a hyaluronic acid serum, is seriously amazing.  Seriously, read the reviews on Amazon.  I kind of thought it was all hype, but I've been using it for a week now and am kind of blown away.  It seems to help with... everything?  Fine lines, acne, redness, and scaring.

And I've raved about this stuff (also available here) before, but it's still my favorite.  It's just so refreshing and cooling after a hot day.  It also gives you a pretty hydrating glow.  They're both keepers!

Blueberry Picking

My Hair Favorites

I received an email asking for my long hair tips- which is totally flattering!  To be honest, I don't really have many tips, as my hair just kind of does what it wants on it's own.  Oh- my one tip!  Use heat as little as possible- I NEVER blow dry my hair, since I shower in the evening.  And I rarely use hot tools either (when I do, this stuff is good for heat protection, and this curler is THE BEST), which I think keeps it healthy.  I like Acure for shampoo and conditioner, and this dry shampoo for days when there is no way Mama is getting her hair washed.

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale- First Look

Riding A Bike With Your Babe

This summer I started biking with Ophelia.  Biking is pretty popular here in Minneapolis, and while I am definitely not a pro (I am slooooooww) we've been having a blast. Baby girl LOVES it, and every time I open the garage she asks "bike? bike? bike?".  We have such sweet conversations while cruising along too- it's amazing how different the view is and how many things you notice on your bike.

For a young toddler, I definitely recommend a front carrier.  Having her close is so cozy, and having the weight on the front of the bike is easier for balance.  This is our seat (you can also find it here)- it's also nice because you can easily take it on and off of your bike if you're riding alone.  We like this helmet for babies, and my helmet is this one.

July Plans

July is one of my favorite months.  It's got this lazy, dog days of summer vibe, and it features our wedding anniversary.  This year, we've got big plans for blueberry picking (my favorite!) and a trip to Coeur D'Alene, Idaho.

All Denim Everything

Probably my favorite thing to wear is denim all over.  I am a big fan of the Canadian tuxedo.  I don't know if it's my little girl's big blue eyes or what, but I've noticed we have started to wear blue pretty much daily.

The Best Nursing Bras

Nursing bras are generally the worst.  It's like finding a diamond in the haystack (or whatever that weird saying is...) when you find a good one. My favorites in the first year of nursing were this one and this one- I don't like anything with a lot of padding.  This one and this one are nursing sports bras, which are perfect for those baby yoga classes.  This one is perfect for one of those days when you've been puked and pooped on and just need to wear something pretty.  

 These days I wear this bra every day, which technically isn't a nursing bra, but works perfectly for nursing.  It's my bra dreams come true.
